The Nelson office of the Cancer Society has become heaven for daffodil lovers as it prepares for its annual appeal this Friday.
Thousands of daffodils have been dropped off to the office from farms and gardens all over the region and volunteers are assisting in preparing them for Daffodil Day. Cancer Society manager Linda Lucre says they will be out in force on Friday. “Don’t forget your loose change because this is big day for us, raising money for cancer research and support for those with cancer in our community.”
Volunteers will have collection stalls in Nelson, Stoke, Tahunanui and Richmond.
