Clifton Terrace School is one step closer to getting a new van after they were presented with a $4,000 cheque from the Mike Pero Foundation on Friday.

The school has been fundraising for a van to get students to and from sports activities and other trips. Principal Rob Wemyss says they also raised $15,000 through their ‘Tea by the Sea’ event last month, leaving them with just a bit more to raise before hopefully securing a van next term.

“Being an out-of-town school, a van will take the pressure off our parents and families, and allow us to go on more excursions,” says Rob.

“Mike Pero made the process really easy, and they were very generous. Now we just need to find the right van.” Craig Hamilton of Mike Pero says they were only too happy to make the donation.

“Obviously a van is big cost for any school and we are really pleased we could help them out.”
