Seagate wins world champs

Nelson’s Nathan Fa’avae has led team Seagate to an unprecedented third consecutive World Adventure Racing title after the New Zealand team crossed the finish line at Ulladulla in New South Wales at 1.48pm (NZ time) on Monday.

Nathan and his team-mates Chris Forne, Stu Lynch and Jo Williams virtually led from start to finish in the 600km team’s multi-sport race around the Sholhaven district. Although it was Seagate’s third win, it was the fifth world championship title for each of the male members of the team and Stu’s fourth title in a row having won with Thule in Costa Rica 2013.

Adventure Medical Kits were still closing in on the finish line and were expected to finish second about two hours behind Seagate.
