Another fire is blazing, this time on Rabbit Island.
Smoke could be seen coming from the island just before 3pm today and Fire and Emergency NZ has confirmed that three fire trucks and a helicopter are on their way to the scene.
It comes as hundreds of people work to contain a massive bush fire that started in Pigeon Valley yesterday afternoon.
