Top netballers descend on Trafalgar Centre


The Mainland Tactix kicked off its Super Club campaign with a comfortable 86-50 victory over the Singapore Sneakers at the Trafalgar Centre on Sunday night.

Earlier in the day, New South Wales and the Central Pulse both registered wins over Marama Vou and the Scotland Sirens respectively.

The biggest shock of the day was saved till last though as the Gauteng Jaguars from South Africa stunned the Steel 61-65.

Super Club sees the top three ANZ premiership sides take on teams from Australia, South Africa, Scotland, Fiji/Samoa and Singapore in a five-day tournament held at the Trafalgar Centre.

The eight competing sides include the Mainland Tactix, Central Pulse, Southern Steel, New South Wales, Marama Vou, Gauteng Jaguars, Singapore Sneakers and UWS Sirens.
