Plenty of children and their cuddly companions enjoyed a sunny day out at Stoke’s Isel Park on Sunday for the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Event organiser Paul McConachie says over 1500 people enjoyed a range of activities at the free event, such as face painting, balloons, pony rides, a petting zoo, garden games and an obstacle course.
“It was a wonderful opportunity for old and young teddies alike to get together and make new memories,” he says.
This year, Nelson Public Library hosted storytelling and Community Art Works also provided a craft activity station.
.The St John ‘Tedulance’ was also there to tend to any scraped knees or bruises and also gave their healing touch and ‘bearcare’ expertise to any teddies who were feeling a bit poorly.
