Paul Ifill will return to Tasman United this summer as a player/coach, announced the club this morning.

Ifill, a former English Premier League player and all-time leading scorer for the Wellington Phoenix, will join Nelson Pine LVL Tasman United as its assistant coach and player for the 2017/18 season.

Ifill was Tasman’s top goal scorer last year in their inaugural campaign with 8 goals.
“It was fantastic to have him in the squad last year, both on and off the pitch his experience and professional approach were something we were keen to have back this year,” says general manager of Tasman United, Clive Beaumont General Manager.
While playing is the primary focus, Ifill’s off field role is formalised this year with him taking up the role of assistant coach.
“The younger players learn so much from him that the formalisation of that role was a natural step,” Beaumont says.
Nelson Pine LVL Tasman United play in the ISPS Handa National Premiership which kicks off in October.
