Wondered what all the festive motorbikes driving around the city were doing?

Around 200 motorcyclists from Nelson, Blenheim, the West Coast and even Canterbury decorated themselves and their machines for the Ulysses Nelson Toy Run.

In it’s 31st year, the Ulysses Toy Run once again featured a variety of motorbikes and scooters adorned with christmas decorations and various gifts for distribution to local kids by the Salvation Army.

Arriving early to their starting at Papps Car Park in Richmond, the riders gathered together, to talk bikes and collect gifts and cash donations from the public in aid of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal.

The convoy rolled out at 11am, making their way into Nelson, through Richmond’s town centre and Stoke, before travelling down Trafalgar Street in Nelson to finish at the car park at the rear of Trafalgar Park.
