Tasman café wins South Island award


Kiwi’s have voted, the results are in and the Jester House has been named the South Island Region winner of the Puhoi Valley People’s Choice award, as part of the 2017 New Zealand Meadow Fresh Café of the Year Awards.

The People’s Choice regional awards recognise the most popular café in a region, determined by the highest number of customer votes.

Long-time Nelson favourite, and winner of the 2013 New Zealand Café of the Year, Jester House remains a winner in the region.

  • Upper North Island region: Surf Shack, Waihi Beach
  • Auckland region: Calendula Cottage Café, Glenbrook
  • Lower North Island region: Catching Pen Café, Dannevirke
  • Wellington region: Sweet Vanilla Kitchen, Lower Hutt
  • Christchurch region: Arabica Licenced Café, Methven
  • South Island region: Jester House, Tasman

The café with the highest number of votes in the country will receive the National Puhoi Valley People’s Choice Award at an event held in Auckland, February 2017.
