FRIDAY

  • The Nelson Sports Awards are on tonight, from 5.45-10.30pm tonight at Annesbrook Community Church. The night will include the awards, a three course meal, and guest speaker Eddie Dawkins. Open to the public, tickets start at just $15 and can be ordered from Sport Tasman on 03 546 7910 or Online Here.
  • The High Low Fashion Weekend is on this Friday and Saturday at the Bowater Hyundai Showroom. Packed full of New Zealand designers, ’High Low’ is Nelson’s very own Fashion Weekend. With an opening party at 7pm tonight and runway shows from 5pm on Saturday. Tickets are available Online Here with VIP, seated, and general admission options.
  • The Hampden Street School Twilight Gala is on tonight from 5-8pm at the school, rain or shine. The gala is a lovely evening event for family and friends with laser tag, a fairy grotto, a frightfully good haunted house, food, home baking, beer, wine and local entertainment.

 

SATURDAY

  • If you are looking at buying or selling a motorhome, campervan or caravan, want to improve your current motorhome or just want to see what life could be like if you owned a motorhome, head to the Rotary Motorhome Show at Tahuna Beach Holiday park on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4pm. Entry is $5 per person at the gate with under 15s entering for free.
  • The third annual Muritai Market is on but this time it is a twilight market, kicking off at Burrell Park from 4-7pm. Bring the whole family, a picnic blanket, and relax amongst the food, shopping, fun and light entertainment.
  • Head along to the Old St John’s from 7.30pm on Saturday for the Nelson Symphony Orchestra’s 50th Birthday. The night will include a mix of audience favourites and the premier performance of a new work to mark the orchestra’s 50th year. Tickets are available from Theatre Royal and TicketDirect ph. 03 548 3840, adults are $27 and children are $5.
  • Everyone is welcome to bring their families and join in on the fun at this years Monster Fishing Competition. The weigh in is down by the Motueka Marina from 11am-3pm, there will be a sausage sizzle. Prize giving will be at the Post Office Hotel from 7pm with lots of great prizes for master anglers.   • New Zealand’s largest and newest traveling fair is here in Nelson, The Extravaganza Fair is on all weekend at the Tahunanui beach sports ground. Featuring live music and shows all day, funky stalls, talented tattooist, an open home, Lucky Star coffee caravan & chill zone, and readers, the fair is free.

 

SUNDAY

  • The Richmond Pak’nSave Santa Parade is on around Sundial Square this Sunday from 12noon – 2pm. The family fun event is for all ages and is a chance to celebrate the start of the festive season, get some give-aways for the children and see Santa.
  • Tasman United’s Senior Men’s team will play Waitakere United on Sunday 27th November from 2pm at Trafalgar Park. Entry is free so come along and support the team.
