Police continue search for local man

Police are still searching for Motueka man, Cyrus James Harrington.

A warrant is out for Cyrus’ arrest after he breached bail earlier this week, with Police seeking him actively since the breach.

“We’re actively pursuing lines of inquiry to try and locate him,” says Senior Sergeant Steve Collins.

“We can’t really give an update at the moment because we haven’t got anything to update you with yet.”

The public has reported several sightings of similar-looking males but Cyrus has not been sighted.

His last known location was his home in Brooklyn, near Motueka, on Tuesday morning.

Police believe he is travelling on foot and is still in the Riwaka/Motueka area but say Cyrus may be in possession of a knife and should not be approached.

Police have described the Motueka local as 26-years-old, 180 cm tall and of thin build.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call Police immediately on 111.
