Nelson locals should be on the look out for their new wheelie bins which will be rolled out in just over a fortnight.
Every residential rate paying property in Nelson will soon receive a wheelie bin for recycling plastics, cans, paper and cardboard.
The bins will be delivered over a four-week period, starting from August 29.
In some cases, delivery of the news bins to the whole street may take several days so the council is asking residents to be patient.
The current recycling service using crates will continue to operate until October 17 when the new trucks designed to empty the new wheelie bins hit the road.
From the week starting October 17, recycling will be collected every fortnight, with glass and mixed recycling both collected on the same day.
Collection days may change but each bin will have a collection day sticker and an information booklet covering everything you need to know about the changes to the recycling collection service.
