Bridal show the perfect place for brides-to-be

If you’re a blushing bride to be, then the Nelson Bridal Show is a must when it comes to planning your special day.

Organisers Jenny Ohlson, Casey Stevenson and Lisa Booth are relaunching the event which will feature a diverse range of exhibitors within the Rutherford Hotel.

Starting at 10am, the first 50 brides through the door will receive a special pamper gift, with more opportunities to win prizes spread throughout the day, including the chance to take home a pair of diamond earrings thanks to Glen James Jewellers.

Entry into the competition can be done between 10am and 1:30pm, just in front of the Glen James Jewellers stand. All you need to do is pick the real diamond from the cubic zirconia.

As well as helping brides and grooms connect with local wedding industry experts, the Nelson Bridal Show is also supporting the community as a not-for-profit event.

Lisa, Jenny and Casey are all giving their time freely to organise the event, with all profits from the expo being donated to the Nelson Tasman Rescue Helicopter Trust.

Tickets to the show can be purchased online for $10 from, or people can purchase tickets for the same price on the day.

Keep August 21 free on your calendar and head along to the Rutherford Hotel for the Nelson Bridal Show. The show will run until 3pm, with a fashion show taking place at 2pm.
