Nelson Suburbs too good for Universities


Nelson Suburbs beat Universities for the third time this season thanks to 4-0 win at Saxton Fields today.
It was Suburbs’ third straight win in the Mainland Premier League, and one that owed earned in tricky underfoot conditions.
After threatening on attack for the first 20 minutes, Ross McPhie found himself through on goal and made no mistake to open the scoring.
Ryan Stewart doubled the advantage straight after the halftime kick off.
His run from the right hand side saw him waltz into the area and produce an acute angle finish.
She burns dominated the second half as Universities struggled to deal with the boggy pitch conditions.
Two goals in the last 10 minutes were deserved reward for the effort.
