Richmond Athletic have maintained their unbeaten run in the top flight of Nelson Bays Football with a 2-0 win over Sprig and Fern Tahuna on Saturday.

FreshChoice Richmond continued their march towards a championship while maintaining a six point advantage over the rest of the competition.

Richmond again proved how lethal they are late in the piece with two second half goals.

Nelson Suburbs First XI couldn’t halt their downward slide, losing 6-0 to the Marlborough Mariners.

FC Nelson and Nelson College played out a 1-1 draw.

Suburbs Seals kept themselves in the hunt with a 2-0 away win over Pomeroy’s Wakefield.

In the Mainland Premier League, Nelson Suburbs showed plenty of heart to come from 2-0 down to beat FC Twenty11 5-3 in their thrilling match at Saxton Field on Sunday.

Campbell Banks and Max Winterton each scored twice as the hosts overcame a terrible start where they leaked two early goals.

It was Matt Tod-Smith’s goal on the eve of halftime which got Suburbs back in the game.
