March for Moko takes Trafalgar

National outrage sparked after the manslaughter sentence of the carers of abused toddler Moko Rangitoheriri saw Nelsonians and kiwis across the country take a stand against child abuse.

Covered in blue ribbons and paint, local parents and kids gathered at the top of Trafalgar today.

I Will March for Moko got communities to band together to say no and remember the 12 children who died from child abuse last year.

Hundreds of people gathered at 1903 Square for a series of speeches and a small march around the block before placing flowers on the Trafalgar Steps in memory of the children who have died from child abuse.
