One lucky lotto player walked away $20,805 richer on Sunday after claiming their win from the Fresh Choice Nelson City lotto store.
The winner is one of twelve players to walk away with the second division winnings following Saturday night’s live Lotto draw.
Fresh Choice supervisor Jeanette Newport says the second division ticket is the first big lottos winnings the store have had.
“We’ve sold a few lucky scratchies but we haven’t sold a strike or winning wheel, this is the first lotto one so we were pretty excited.
“They have come in and claimed it, the claim form went away yesterday and I’m sure the winner was very excited,” says Jeanette.
Powerball First Division was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night where the jackpot will be $9 million.
