Three Nelson men will appear in the Nelson District Court today following an incident in Motueka in the early hours this morning.
Police were called to a report of a burglary shortly before 1.30am am at a Teece St, Motueka, address.
Police located a vehicle that had been stolen from that address a short time later on High St Motueka and when signaled to stop the driver fled.
He was pursued heading South on SH60 to Te Mamaku Drive where the pursuit was abandoned due to the manner of driving.
The vehicle was eventually stopped by Police using road spikes.
Three Nelson men, two aged 21 years and one aged 20 years were arrested and have been jointly charged with burglary and unlawfully taking a vehicle.
One of the trio also faces charges of reckless driving and failing to stop.
