Are you dedicated? Are you enthusiastic? Do you want to be a builder?
If this is starting to sound like the beginnings of a situations vacant ad then good, because that’s exactly what it is.
Nelson builder Andrew Martin approached Nelson Weekly with a problem every business in the world has at one time or another, he needed a new staff member.
But not any staff member – Andrew needs a young local that he can take on as an apprentice.
So we decided to help. And so did Mitre 10 Mega.
Together we’re going to find the right person for Andrew’s small building company and give a local person a possible career for life.
So if you are a person who wants to be a builder – and we mean really wants to be a builder – and you are enthusiastic, dedicated, have a genuine desire to learn and for the building trade to be your career, you’d better get in touch.
If successful, you’ll get to be a builder as well as $400 worth of tools in a tool belt from Mitre 10 Mega. Andrew says the job is a great way to get started in the trade. “We work on all sorts of houses and do jobs from entire house builds to renovations, so whoever does get this job will get plenty of great experiences.”
It doesn’t matter age, experience or anything else. If you really want to be a builder, apply.
The top five applicants will be interviewed and Andrew will select his new apprentice before the end of April.
To apply, send a one page application via email to [email protected]. We want you to tell us why you’d be the perfect person for the job.
