A block of seven apartments in Enner Glynn are being hailed as a “new phase of living” for Nelsonians.
The apartments on Coster St have been granted resource consent by Nelson City Council and are unique because most city homes are standalone.
Work on the new apartments is due to be finished by October this year with all seven already sold by building company Jennian Homes.
Nelson City Council’s Clare Barton says the land had been vacant for some time. “We believe this is a very positive move for the development of Nelson, and for residents seeking alternative housing.”
Simon Collett, managing director of Jennian Homes, says the apartments, which all feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms, range in floor space between 160m2 and 170m2.
“They are all built to an extremely high quality standard, utilising the usual higher-end suppliers that Jennian Homes works with. The concrete tilt slab construction also ensures the apartments are well sound-proofed.
The sale prices ranged from $399,000 to $430,000.
