Putaitai street roadworks

Pavement repairs are on the calendar for Stoke’s Putaitai Street with council contractors scheduled to begin work on cracks in the pavement on Monday, November 9.

The repair is expected to take two to three weeks unless delayed by wet weather.

This scheduled work has been brought forward in preparation for the new NBus Stoke route due to launch on December 5.

Residents, customers and business owners in the vicinity have been advised of the work and will have access to their properties while work is going on. Contractors will keep them fully informed of progress.

While work is underway, traffic from Main Road Stoke will be unable to make a right hand turn into Putaitai Street – drivers must continue to the next set of lights at Songer Street to turn right.

Staff will be on hand to direct traffic turning out of Putaitai Street into Main Road Stoke.

Car parking may be restricted in this area at times, but contractors will be working to ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum.

Please drive carefully and follow all road works signage. We thank you for your patience.
