Multiple vehicle collision at Spooners

A car and motorbike were involved in a collision near Doctors Creek, just before the Spooners Range at 10.23 this morning.

A second car then got tangled up in the wreckage.

St John’s Acting Shift Manager, Anne-Marie Harris says two ambulances transported the motorcyclist and two elderly occupants of the first car to the hospital.

The motorcyclist was a 59-year-old male who will, fortunately, walk away with little more than queried fractured ribs.

The driver of the first car was a 78-year-old female who had minor lumbar back pain. Her 81-year-old male passenger is being treated for minor chest injuries.

Two lanes of the road were closed initially, officers have now cleared both.
