A selfie competition, launched as part of the Feast for the Senses celebrations, has landed one Nelsonian over $500 in vouchers and a car for the weekend.

As part of the Sense of Selfie competition Nelsonians were asked to spot the Bowater Honda Jazz parked in prominent locations around town and snap a selfie with the car, and then upload that to the Facebook competition page.

The prizes, pooled together to created an awesome weekend of shopping, included a $200 retail spend at Morrison Square, a $50 retail spend at the Nelson Farmers Market, overnight accommodation for two at the Palms Motel with continental breakfast, valued at $189, the weekend use of a brand new demonstrator vehicle from Bowater Honda and a $100 dining out voucher at Panama’s Restaurant.

A “Lotto-esque” spin of a car wheel landed on Jane Bayley as the winner with the team behind the promotion meeting up at the weekly Wednesday Farmers Market in Morrison Square to present her with the prizes.

Jane Bayley was excited to collect her prize. She took her selfie with her friend Maree Lawson whilst enjoying one of the Movable Feasts as a part of the promotion. She said she was going to share her prize with friend Maree.

Feast for the Senses was a month-long promotion throughout July that promoted Nelson City’s dining, arts, festivals and winter events. Bowater Honda joined with Uniquely Nelson to promote the Feast for the Senses campaign with a bright yellow Bowater Honda Jazz covered in Feast for the Senses branding.
