With the sewer upgrade at the base of Beatson Rd complete, work on the shared pathway extension to the Railway Reserve continues.
The $671,000 upgrade to the area includes a shared 3m wide cycle and walking pathway which is expected to be completed in late September.
The pathway along Beatson Rd itself is mostly complete with a further sewer upgrade in the works.
Parts of the track along Waimea Rd, formed from Bishopdale Saddle to Arthur Cotton Bridge, are in the process of being sealed.
Residential consultation on the upgrade works were held as far back as 2011.
