Originair and its passengers celebrated the airline’s inaugural flight on Wednesday at Nelson Airport with a cake-cutting ceremony and, most importantly, a successful takeoff.
The flight from Nelson to Palmerston North was full with 17 passengers, who were also gifted goody bags by staff. The flight was also celebrated at Palmerston North Airport.
Originair will be flying direct between Nelson and Wellington as well with flights commencing on September 13 this year.
