A temporary track has been opened on the Dun Mountain Trail while work on the main track is still ongoing.
The temporary track has been formed above the landslide which closed the track between four Corners and Third House in March.
The main track is still closed and, as the slip is actively moving, Council say a full reinstatement of the Dun trail is expected to take several months. This is due to the need for Geotechnical design, Resource Consent, and construction works.
