The search for missing Dutch tourist Ken Boogers has resumed this morning with five search teams looking for the 26 year old from first light today.
One of the five teams is a specialist tracking team, who are going to his last known location on Pillar Pt track. The shoreline, cliffs and other coastline Other teams are checking the shoreline and cliffs along the coastline from Wharariki to Farewell Spit.
Weather overnight and today is fine however there was heavy rain in the search area on Sunday.
As of 3.11pm Mr Boogers has not been found.
Ground teams are scouring the beaches and tracks between Wharariki and Puponga in Golden Bay. A helicopter has again been deployed to conduct an aerial search.
The search will continue tomorrow with two specialist search dogs from Canterbury arriving to aid in the search.
The weather in the search area has been fine all day today.
