Those who were up for a bit of cheering and shouting packed out Nelson pubs and bars to watch the final of the Cricket World Cup this afternoon.
New Zealand got off to a poor start with 183 runs but there was no denying the patriotism of those who dressed up for the action.
With New Zealand cricket fans looking forward to the game there some people were feeling a bit deflated following the not so impressive batting performance.
Cheers could be heard during Grant Elliot’s runs for New Zealand as he scored 83 from 82 balls.
