The Nelson Young Professionals’ “Casino Royale” themed ball is fast approaching, and the NYP committee members are busy liaising with the ball sponsors to make sure the evening is a great event.|

NYP president Michelle Byczkow says there will be over $2000 worth of spot prizes to be won on the night, courtesy of Cheryl Mackie Boutique and Nelson Tailors Menswear. “And Jens Hansen is offering everyone who buys their ticket before October 3 the chance to wear one of five pieces of Jens Hansen jewellery for the night. We’ve never had such a big prize pool before so it’s great that the local businesses have come out to support us for this event.”

Michelle says that the ball is a great opportunity for Nelson’s young professionals to get dressed up and enjoy themselves. “Though we have a lot of events on throughout the year that encourage networking and upskilling, the ball is really all about just allowing people to let their hair down and have a bit of fun.”

Last year’s ball had a fantastic turnout and this year it promises to be an even bigger occasion. There are only 140 tickets available and already they are selling fast. All food, drink and entertainment are included in the ticket price.

NYP members are those who are in the first 15 years of their career and who work, live or do business in the Nelson/Tasman region.

The Jens Hansen NYP Casino Royale Ball is on October 11 at the Nelson Yacht Club, from 7.30pm. Dress for a night at the casino and come as James Bond, a bond girl or your preferred villain. Tickets are only $70 for non-members or $59 for members, and can be bought at www.nyp.co.nz/ball.
