Search for our biggest family

The search is on for the region’s largest family.
Cafe Olive owner Harkin Aslankilinc says he wants to not only find them, but also shout the family a meal at his central city restaurant.
There are rules though, a family is defined as two parents and their children only and the majority of the children must be under 18.
Harkin says the idea behind the competition is to celebrate families and get them out enjoying each other over a meal this winter.
“If you have a big family it would cost a lot to take them out to dinner so we want to be able to say ‘hey, come here, enjoy yourself and enjoy each other’s company’.”
Harkin guesses he may be catering for up to 12 and can handle “up to 50” but he says he’d be “shocked and sorry for the mum” if that was the case.
