Boxes of books opened for fair

Around 80 volunteers are finishing sorting through 3000 boxes of donated books in preparation for the Founders Book Fair which opens this Saturday.
Organiser Karen Clark says the fair just keeps getting bigger and there are around 500 more boxes of books than last year. “And we have better quality books I think, they are in really good shape.”
The book fair is a major fundraiser for the Founders Heritage Park and runs for nine days straight with fresh books being put on display every day. The fair is open from 10am to 4pm each day.
Karen says this year they have a great selection of hunting and fishing books, vintage books and collectables. They also have their biggest ever selection of DVDs and CDs.
Karen says the volunteers, 11 of whom work two mornings a week throughout the year, and those who donated books deserve huge thanks. “It’s going to be another really great fair and we want people to come and take away all these great books.”
The fair opens at 10am this Saturday.
