A new motorbike club has established itself in Nelson, with its focus on custom bikes.
The Nelson Custom Motorcycle Club was founded at the start of this year and already has close to 20 members. Founder Miki Djukanovic says custom bikes are growing in popularity and the club was proof of that.
A custom motorbike is the two-wheeled version of a hot rod, anything that isn’t stock standard. Miki says the club is hoping to do a bit of everything, from hosting workshop nights, events, riding and just hanging out. “We want to create a social custom scene for girls and guys who want a good time, it’s a hobby and for people who want to enjoy themselves, flash their bikes, share ideas and just have a good time with other like-minded people.”
Everyone is welcome says Miki, all makes and models and you don’t even need to own a custom bike, just if you’ve got an interest in it. Anyone keen to find out more about the club can call Miki on 022 046 4549.
