Seven couples have been selected as finalists for a competition to find the region’s best love stories.

The Jens Hansen Love Stories competition seeks to find the best love stories from around the region with the people of Nelson to vote for their favourite. The overall winner will be announced at the Nelson Wedding Show in May and will win $1000 worth of Jens Hansen diamonds on top of the $600 worth of diamonds that all of the finalists have won.

Each story of the seven finalists will feature in the Nelson Weekly in the lead up to the Nelson Wedding Show on May 5 and voting can be done online at www.nelsonweddingshow.co.nz from March 19 or on the day of the wedding show.

Halfdan Jansen, says the event was a huge success last year and he’s rapt with the huge number of entries the competition attracted. “The search for the ultimate love story has been great fun again this year. We’re in the business where we hear tales of romance all the time, but there’s some that really just catch you. I’m a big believer in happy endings.”

The finalists are Jeff and Jo Cotton, Loren and Tom Heaphy, Lara Conyers and Sam Harris, Craig and Michele Lines, Jill Williams and Adam Womersley and Megan Rouche and James Sharpe.
