Local artists ready for garden exhibition

Art buffs will have the chance to view unique work from over 50 local artists at an annual event held at Queens Gardens this weekend.

Art Group Nelson will exhibit a selection of their pieces from glass work, paintings, wood work and carvings to the public in an open air showcasing, providing the community a chance to view and invest in local talent.

Artists  Marg Rawlins of Richmond and Connie Charlton of Enner Glynn are both looking forward to the event which Marg says will feature a huge variety of art. As well as sharing her own work and viewing what others have been working on, she hopes to sell a few pieces over the weekend.

“It’s just great to think someone may want to take my work home and have it on their wall.”

The exhibition will be held this Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm at the Hardy St end of Queens Gardens.
