Enner Glynn Playcentre was shocked by a $300 cash donation several months ago and say they want the donor to know the money went to good use.

In August this year the playcentre was hosting its annual garage sale when a man, unknown to the staff, stepped up and gave a supervisor $300 cash. He told the supervisor to use the money to buy what they wanted for the kids and left, says parent Melissa Marfell.

“He left before anyone could make a fuss and say ‘wow, thank you so much’ so we don’t know who he is but we are very grateful.”

The centre bought a tyre-swing, which Ashelin Cowin-Duncan, left, and Amelia Marfell, both 4, are pictured using. The cash was also used to buy a football set and T-ball set.

Melissa says the centre was extremely grateful.

“We’ve got a feeling he’s from this community but he’s obviously a lovely person in the community because it’s such a nice thing to do for a centre like us.”
