Fashion fundraiser for girls college

Students at Nelson College for Girls may have to wear the same thing to school each day but they are looking forward to showing off their fashion sense this weekend as part of the Spring Fashion Fling fundraiser.

Nelson College for Girls PTA is hosting the fashion “fling” at the school this Saturday night but organisers say it will be much more than a fashion show with a night full of entertainment.

“We have a great night planned and all the money raised goes back into the college to support the girl’s education. The evening is intended to provide a good night’s entertainment, so get a group of friends together so get your tickets soon to avoid disappointment,” says PTA chair Brenda Holdaway.

The show will feature garments from Profile, Glassons, Hogey’s, Virtuous, Stirling Sports, Nelson Taylors Menswear, Labels and Cooper & Rouge while spot prizes are coming from other local businesses including Morrison Street Café, Woman Beauty Day Spa, Café Affair, Bowater Motor Group, Bayleys and Mediaworks.  There is even a chance of winning a car for the weekend to get you to Hamner to a night’s accommodation. Half time entertainment is by college students.

Tickets are $35 (include a complimentary drink and platters on each table) available from NCG reception, or cash sales at Virtuous and Hogeys.
