Taylor’s Contracting Wanderers have won the division three final in the most astonishing fashion, finishing the entire season undefeated.

The team hosted the grand final against Wakatu Marist at Brightwater on Saturday, with Wanderers coming out on top courtesy of an impressive 26-0 win.

Wanderers carried on its good form into the final and ran in two early tries. The first came from a good forward build up which saw Kevin Timpson crash over and the second was scored out wide by Darren Mongan after another solid build up, that combined with one conversion and penalty saw wanderers go into half time with a 15-0 lead.

The second half was again keenly contested with Wanderers being reduced to 13 players at one stage after a couple of infringements. But even with the numerical disadvantage throughout the half it defended well and took what few opportunities it had with a further try to Darren Mongan.

Two further penalties were added which made the final score 26-0. The team has gone through the entire season unbeaten and amassed over 420 points and conceded a mere 69.
