A masterclass from captain Jess Drummond led Jacks OPD to a resounding win over Nelson College for Girls at Saxton Stadium on Thursday night.

Yet to drop a game in premier this season, Jacks continued their hot form with a clinical 63-34 victory.

Well supported by her wings Kirsty Thomson and Holly Young, Drummond was superb at both ends of the court, commanding the ascendancy from the outset.

While Chloe Webb and Sophie Fleming showed plenty of fight for the young college outfit, they were well and truly outclassed by a Jacks side looking untouchable as they march toward finals netball.

Jacks coach Robyn Leonard says despite a draw being their only blemish so far this season, it will be the next few weeks that will define its success.

“There is a long way to go yet.”

On court two, Richmond45 hammered Waimea College who continue to struggle after their reintroduction to premier.

Richmond lead each quarter 10-6, 21-11, and 34-18 before claiming the win 40-29.

In the evenings later game, Prices Pharmacy knocked off Stoke NBS 54-47 to join them in second place.

Points table: Jacks-12, Stoke-8, Prices-8, NCG-4, Richmond-4, Waimea College-0.
