If you love summersaults and sunshine, Tahuna will be the place to be next year.

The outdoor trampoline park that was put to council by Pro Karts’ Nick Fowler has been given the go ahead.

The new addition is set to be around 600m2 and packed with 50-60 trampolines in the spot between the beach, Pro Karts, and the Megaslide.

Nick says it is so good to finally get consent and start moving forward.

“We’re all so excited and can’t wait to get it open, it’s going to be a great activity for so many people and it’s really going to contribute to Tahunanui.

“We’ve been given consent so now we’re just tweaking the design and then we’ll get the order underway, prep the site and when it all turns up it’s just a matter of assembling and testing it.”

Nick was hoping the park would be up and bouncing in time for Christmas but it is likely to open later this summer.

“We’d love to have it up by new years but realistically, I think we’re looking at the park being completed later in the new year, around early February.

“It’s been quite a process but the people I’ve been dealing with are all very supported and think it’s a great idea.”

Nick has started up a Facebook Page for the park and within the first five days, had over 700 likes, if social media is anything to go by, the park is set to be a popular attraction.
