Broods up for five NZMAs

The talented brother-sister duo from Nelson have been carving up both the local and international music scene and it hasn’t gone unrecognised.

Former Garin students Georgia and Caleb are the big story ahead of this year’s NZ Music Awards.

Broods are up for five awards after being nominated for single of the year, album of the year, best pop album, best group and people’s choice.

The pair took home four awards last year with their debut album Evergreen, and are leading the nominations with Conscious, which was released in June and features popular singles Free and Heartlines.

Their main competition this year comes in the form of kiwi music icons Fat Freddy’s Drop, Aaradhna, Shapeshifter and newcomers Kings and Maala.

The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards are on Thursday, November 17 at the Vector Arena in Auckland will be and broadcast live on TV3 for the rest of the nation.
