Hip hop dancers from around the country are giving it all they’ve got in this year’s Shakedown Hip Hop Champs. Held in Nelson College’s assembly hall, the first of two competition sessions was held this afternoon featuring small crews and solo dancers. Crews have come as far as Auckland and Dunedin to compete in the championships and if you’re wanting to witness some of the talent for yourself, door sales will be available for the second competition session this evening. Larger crews and older competitors will be performing with the competition kicking off at 6:30pm. Door sales will run an hour prior to the show.
