Tasman United have signed former Wellington Phoenix striker Paul Ifill for their debut national league campaign this November.

The English-born Barbados football representative has played 17 seasons of top-flight football around the world and has 10 international caps for Barbados.

He played in an FA Cup final for Millwall against Manchester United.

He also had stints at English clubs Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace and earned games in the English Premier League and the Europa League as a result.

He spent five years with the Wellington Phoenix where his tally of 33 goals is the most by any Phoenix player.

He was named Wellington Phoenix player of the year twice before succumbing to an Achillies tendon injury during the 2013/2014 A-League season.

He tried to revive his playing career with Team Wellington in the national competition before announcing his retirement in February last year.
