A major car crash in Marlborough has closed State Highway 6, impacting people travelling between Blenheim and Nelson.
The highway is closed between Okaramio and Havelock after a two-car crash. The road is expected to be closed for some time as emergency services deal with the scene, say police.
Traffic travelling between Blenheim and Nelson will need to go via Queen Charlotte Drive and Picton, or via the Wairau Valley.
