Road blocks are being taken down and lock-downs are lifting in the wake of the Police response to a fight in which a firearm was presented.
Neighbors reported seeing four to five Armed Offenders Squad officers and two Police dogs storm into the Brunner Street home.
Police Communications Manager, Barbara Dunn says the Police are reacting to reports of a fight and have placed road blocks around Bishopdale.
“We’ve been told a firearm was presented so we’ve sent in our Armed Offenders Squad.”
Barbra says that the address has been cleared and the Police are carrying out an inquiry on the three occupants.
Brunner, Motueka and Tukuka Sts were all cordoned off and Nelson Boys College along with Hampden Street School and the Nelson Hospital were placed under lock-down.
