It is understood power has now been restored to Brightwater homes.

Homes in Brightwater are without power this afternoon due to a fault with the power lines.
A Network Tasman representative was unable to clarify the cause of the fault but says it is quite a large issue and staff are currently working on fixing it.
“There is quite a big fault out in that area.”
Network Tasman were unable to provide an estimated time of repair.
