The cone that mysteriously appeared on top the Christ Church Cathedral’s flag pole on Monday has been removed.
Reverend Nick Kirk climbed up the internal ladders of the tower, broom in hand, in a bid to knock the cone off the pole early this morning.
“I got up this morning and just knew how I could get it down.”
Nick tied the broom to the rope that is used to hoist a flag and raised it, successfully removing the cone from the pole.
He also found a wallet up on the roof but says he is leaving it up to police to work out how it got there and if it has any connection with the road cone.
